I just had a question on the Intel GMA 950... is that itself a graphics card such as geforce or radeon type? or does the GMA use 128mb of your ram?

I know with my PC, the radeon covers the 128mb needed, instead of eating it from my ram.

The Intel GMA950 is an IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor) and therefore is not like most geforce and radeon cards which are dedicated graphics cards, with their own physical card and theor own dedicated ram etc. The GMA950 takes memory from your system ram to run graphics so your system ram will be 128mb less than stated, for example 1Gb becomes 896Mb.

The GMA950 is more than capable of OS based tasks but isn't really capabale of much gaming.
