I've managed to procure a cable that I'm pretty sure will work with HD+ screens on my Vostro 3460 laptop, and I'm eager to try a screen upgrade. The main limitation is that it has to be 2 channel LVDS and have face mounting brackets on the top and bottom. As far as I can tell this limits me to 900p.

Here's what my research has been able to find so far:

    • AUO B140RTN02.1
    • LG lp140wd2-tlg1 (TL)(G1)
These are glossy screens (I prefer matte) but these are bright, have good contrast, and decent viewing angles. It looks like these were used in the Alienware m14x r2, which aside from the reflectivness got pretty good reviews. Probably about similar to screens to Macbook Airs.

    • AUO b140rtn01.0
    • LG lp140wd2-tle1 (TL)(E1)
Matte screens with good viewing angles and high color gamut. Very good screens that look like were used on the X1 Carbon. Unfortunately it doesn't have mounting brackets and the dimensions are slightly different. Also the connector is on the wrong side. If it weren't for the physical compatibility issues, I'd probably go for this.

    • Innolux N140FGE-LA2
Matte screen with very good contrast and brightness, and slightly better than crap viewing angles. Then again Chimei's never been known for good screens, so I'm hesitant to trust their specs.

Anyone have opinions about these screens or want to recommend other screens? I'm probably most inclined to go with the B140RTN02.1 since it's got the best specs and I can put up with the gloss.

Hello! I'm in search of a better screen for T430 ( search for the second week). Wanted to buy cheap screen LP140WD2-TLE2, but it was never found

In my opinion, if without any problems, then you need to put the best screen that is suitable in size and has the correct mounting.

    There is a matte screen!:
    AUO B140RTN02.1 http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/B140RTN02.1
    LG lp140wd2-tlg1 (TL)(G1) http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LP140WD2(TL)(G1)

And more! Have a new display LP140WD2(TL)(HA) http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LP140WD2(TL)(HA) but what are the characteristics of this screen, I have not been able to find out :(
