Have the glossy 4K Displays gone the way of the dodo with Skylake refreshes? All I'm seeing out there is matte displays.

I have a hard time finding any with a matte display. I think a majority prefer matte. I know I do.

Really? Everything I see at Sager's website, for example, is nothing but matte.

And that is one of the many reasons I like Sager. :)

If you look at any other OEM, all they offer are touchscreen and glossy.

I could care less about touchscreen, that holds zero interest for me. Much like matte. ;)

    I'll keep digging. :)

You'll still find glossy displays with touchscreen laptops. But I'd guess that's to leave room for the polarizer (for the touch detection), more than for image quality.

Glossy screens tend to be used when you want to improve the image quality and contrast of inexpensive, sub-performing screens (TN panels). I think the reason you don't see glossy 4K screens is because they tend to be IPS panels. Laptop manufacturers have caught on that the buyers of their high-end high-priced laptops prefer IPS displays, which tend to have superior image quality by itself. You don't need a glossy screen to try and artificially improve the contrast of an IPS screen, because it's already pretty darned good.
