My TabletPC has intergrated graphics which I am at wits end with .

I know from reading various forums upgrading Motherboards in laptops is not worth it with all the hassle entailed with it.

But in my case I have a 15" tablet pc. Most now are a few inches smaller.
I do not want to lose that extra real estate.

So I provided the current systems Specs below
and I am just asking for options?

    1. I want a motherboard that has:

    - dedicated GFX or at least better integrated card

    2. If no Motherboard, New CPU options?

    3. If I buy a new laptop can I apply the Wacom Digitizer(WAC04)
    to the new 15inch laptop?

Like most no problem building systems. Just have very little knowledge of
    Laptops.

    thank you for your time.

    The Toshiba R20 is a 14" machine?

    http://www.tabletpcreview.com/default.asp?newsID=545

Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure you're not going to find a motherboard for this thing with a dedicated GPU. I'm going to venture that there are VERY FEW if any tablets with a dedicated GPU; it just isn't the point.

You can use any Socket M processor in your machine, though. The T7600 is the fastest chip for Socket M, but the T7400 or T7200 is arguably a better value.

If you're real good with modding, you may be able to shoehorn that digitizer into another machine (like how people have been able to shoehorn digitzers in EEEs or Winds, etc), but unless the next machine is also a convertible (in which case, it'll already have it's own digitizer), I don't think there's much point.

EDIT: The Toshiba M7 has an NVS 110M, and the screen has the same size and resolution as the R20.

I'd say you won't find any motherboard with a dedicated GPU for that, a tablet PC isn't made for that kind of thing, thus no options for those kind of motherboards i'd say.

What is "Wacom Digitizer(WAC04)" ? I'm too lazy for google.

Max CPU upgrade will probably be T7600 2.33Ghz 4MB cache as said above.

    lol yeah, 14.1"... ;P

Thanks for the quick info. Tecra M7 sounds good. Saw some boards for under $200. Looks like it will match the chassis.

Tecra did come with an option of additional GFX card.
So most likely the slot will be on the board, right?
They would not sell the unit with a completely different board, right?
Just same board just running off integrated GFX?

Guess it is something I have to ask the store.

Wacom Digitizer(Wac04) is just the screen type/company used and companies model version.

thanks again for the quick help
