    Hello NBR,

I recently bought the Lenovo y50 which comes with a horrendous TN panel with an eDP 30 pin connector I believe. I would assume any eDP 30 pin compatible connector IPS panel will function with this laptop.

I am looking for an IPS panel that fits this requirement that has a low response time and great specifications and that will function well for gaming.

I believe most IPS panels I have seen have around a 35ms response time and I have seen TN panels with around 8ms responses (I usually game on a desktop monitor with a 1ms response time and I am worried about noticing huge differences).

Does anyone have any suggestions or input on this? Do these response times really make a difference for gaming. Will the picture quality of a 35ms IPS improve my gaming experience more than the response time of an 8ms TN panel.

Thank you for any input or advice,
    Gage.

You have more than the cable to worry about - most displays have mounting holes in specific locations that will need to match up (and may vary).

I know and I have found compatible screens cable and screw mount location.

These three have been confirmed to fit.

My question about latency and response times still stands though. Will i notice these differences, would a good TN panel be better?
