I got some altec lansing speakers, they are fx4021. I hooked them up to my desktop and they were super loud and the bass was amazing, now I hooked them up to my 1520 and now there is no bass... any help?

The bass setting on the notebook probably hasn't set correctly. The sound drivers will have sound software included. Find that, and you should be able to change the bass setting to the maximum value.

I'm not sure if this is your sound utility but you should have something called Realtek Audio Manger. Open it up and play around with the settings. It's very straightforward.
