I am looking for 16:9 monitor (true HDTV ratio), 1920x1080 native resolution with HDMI port, 20" or bigger. Is there such a thing?

Yes, very recently several 16:9 LCD monitors started popping up ranging from 22ā€ to 24ā€. Here are few models. However if your primary use is not watching TV (or movies), then I’d recommend a standard 16:10 (1920x1200) monitor because that extra 120 lines means more vertical space for text. Most movies are not 16:9 anyways, so you'd still see black strips, Only HDTV programs will fit full screen. However, a 24" 16:9 will be more wider than a 24" 16:10 meaning movies and TV programs will look slightly bigger in full screen mode.
