I have a choice between two fairly similar spec'd laptops only the one I would prefer is without the HDMI cable. This doesn't bother me greatly only I do have a 19" HDReady 1440x900 monitor which I would like to hook it up to often. Would you say a HMDI cable would be a better option than the VGA? Bearing in mind I wouldn't be watching much, if any, HD material - I am thinking stick with the VGA?

Also, the X1300 should be fine to output at 1440x900 via VGA yes?
