I adore the idea of a 1080p rgb led screen on a notebook with a BR drive, but I just don't know if my eyes can take it for everything other than movies. But 1366 x 768, well that seems somewhat small to me. Otoh, that is a wled screen.
I'm so torn, someone help me, give me some strong pros and cons either way.

Go into a store and have a look.
I personally wouldn't mind a resolution of 1920 x 1080/1200 on a 12" or 13" screen. -
How big is the screen? And you can always adjust your DPI up (default is 96... you can try 120 or even 140 on small screens with lots of pixels) which should scale everything pretty well, so you use more of the pixels but the size of the fonts and such don't get smaller.

Bigger DPI makes a huge difference, especially in Vista/Windows 7.
I can actually read 1080p on my Philips 42inch LCD because I bumped the DPI up. Everything is beautiful so you have nothing to worry about -
Vista is very good in this regard, much better than XP.

agree with all above. also you don't have to run the screen at stock res when you are working. you could run it at something in between, and when you toss in your favorite B-Ray Disc... well BANG! switch to full 1080P and watch everyone crowd arounding why it looks sooo good on your machine rather than there acers or lower end dells

Thanks for replies guys, feeling better about wanting this bit. I'm buying either a Sager 9262 or a Studio XPS 16 (choice is greatness now, or good and then another good sooner), so 16-17" screen.
I had a 17" 1600x1200 a while back, and that was tough to browse with sometimes. Was a crappy screen though, and ran 2000. -
The RGB LED on the XPS 16 is supposed to be extremely gorgeous. This is one of the really higher end screen options available on notebooks
1920 x 1080 on a 16" rgb led. bad idea?
