I'm sure there's a thread somewhere...but I couldn't find it using the search option. So if anyone can link me there that'd be great!

    1) What's a good price for two 1GB 667MHz RAM sticks? Would it be cheaper to buy them separately? Together? Etc.

    2) What is Dual Channel really? Is it just the two sticks working together? And how do you achieve it? Just stick in two identical sticks?

Thanks for all the help guys.

    1. About $160 -$170, if you buy the Value RAM or generics and about $240 - $260 for the branded RAM.

    2. Dual channel is basically technology which combines the bandwidth channel of both the memories and thereby doubling the available bandwidth. Most of the time it remains unused and only some applications take the advantage of the extra bandwidth. It is achieved by using 2 equal sized sticks in a compatible system. For dual channel to function, all you'll need are 2 equal sized memory sticks.

To Miner's first answer: While searching around, I've noticed that even the name branded sticks have different versions. E.g. OCZ has a "VALUE" version and a "Gold" version. Is the additional $100some worth it?

Value should be fine, since they both have life time warranties. The price difference is only due to the fact that their rebular meory goes through better controls and failure rate will be hence lower. But paying $100 for this especially with the lifetime warranties is not worth it IMO.
