Hi all,
Here's whats happening : I recently placed an order through a local shop for a Samsung 840 120GB SSD. Unfortunately, after days of waiting, they called, and I went, then they told me that the SSD got lost during shipment. They offered two choices: 1) I get a full refund 2) Buy an SSD that is in stock right now and get a $30 discount. So, I asked them what they had, and it kinda funny, they had only one type of SSD in store atm.... Kingston SSDnow V+200 240GB.
The problem is, I'm very new to SSDs. The notebook in my sig, is the first ssd I used. Very much impressed with the samsung 840 120GB, I decided to buy another. So my question is, should I get the refund and buy another samsung 840 120GB, which can be had for $148 (yeah, its expensive where I live, can't help it), or buy the Kingston SSDnow V+200 240GB for $230 after the $30 discount? I have been reading about the Kingston, many give it positive reviews. Also, 240GB is very attractive at that price. And, will I have any problems running it in my current setup?
Would like to know what you guys think. Anyone using the Kingston SSDnow v+200, please share your thoughts.
Any input is much appreciated
Thanks.

Tell him Hell no and get your money back
the Samsung 840 120gb drive is already pretty bad compared to most but the Kingston drive is even worse. Kingston hasn't had the best track record of reliability except on their hyperX drives, plus the fact this drive uses bottom tier Asynchronous memory. I would try to get a 240gb Intel 335 or the 256gb Plextor M5s (which usually sells for close to $0.70 or $0.80 a gig) if cost is an issue. -
Is this plextor good : Amazon.com: Plextor 256GB M5S Series Solid State Drive SATA 6.0 Gb-s PX-256M5S: Computers & Accessories
Also, this seems to be a good buy : Amazon.com: Samsung MZ-7TD250BW 840 Series Solid State Drive (SSD) 250 GB Sata 2.5-Inch: Computers & Accessories -
2 options..... which SSD to get?
