I am looking at buying a 60GB 4200RPM drive, and i was wondering if there will be a performance difference for USB 2.0 when compared to a 5400RPM HD.

I used a 5400RPM USB 2.0 frmo a friend, and it transferred files onto my laptop @ a rate of about 21MB/sec. I will be mainly using the drive to transfer files onto as well.

    Thanks

Not USB 2.0, which is 480Mbps, but you may push the limits of the cheap USB chip in most enclosures.
