    2.5 inch sata enclosure maximum capacity?

    i just bought a 500gb 2.5 inch hard drive and im looking for an enclosure that will support it. i checked ebay and there are some very cheap ones from china but it says it supports only up to 120gb. how can i find one that supports 500gb?

    I'm sure they all can, I can't see why the hardware would be space limited. But if you're concerned just buy a better name one, like a nexstar.

    Don't go the cheap route with an enclosure anyhow. Any recent enclosure will be able to handle the latest hard drives and even ones made in the future.

    That was my opinion. Why go with the cheap Chinese enclosures when you can spend a few dollars more and get a decent quality one. Why risk your data?
