Hi, I have a couple of questions -

whats the best bang for buck hard drive that would be compatible with a 2006 core duo 2 ghz and 2gb ram macbook?

will the faster 7200 rpm models create heat or is it safe to assume the current 7200 rpm drives run cooler than any 2006 drive?

finally, i live in the US, so whats the best place to buy the drive?

    thanks a lot!

Western Digital Scorpio Blue - consumes less power than the 7200RPM Black edition while performing nearly as well. It comes in 250, 320, and 500GB capacities.

I avoid the hitachi's ... I have more failures with them on 2.5 and 3.5" drives
seagate drives are good as well, and hey get one whereever you can find a deal
