if ALL of the above fail u can also try and set the command rate to 2T (in case its at 1T which makes the ram snappier but also less stable) and loosen up the timings (say, from xmp 11-11-11 to 12-12-12, dunno ur stock xmp timings though :))

    As always much appreciated!

Meanwhile I tried XTU as well but Standard Timings doesn't go well. I had to set it at 12-13-13-35 @2133Mhz to get it stable. Where can I change the 1T/2T command rate? IIRC 2T should be taken as well, if one is using more than two sticks, right?

Edit: overvolting the system agent and analog/digital IO has still to be done. I didn't try yet.

Does it make a difference, if you try ocing your RAM before or after you oc'ed your CPU?

yes, generally 2T is recommended for more than 2 sticks. u cant change the command rate in xtu, gotta look for that in the bios (could potentially only be visible when using premamod though)

it CAN make a difference, but it doesnt have to. it depends on what the bottleneck in your system is, whether its the integrated memory controller of the cpu that cant keep up with the ram speed/timings or the ram sticks themselves that crap out on you (or worst case both!) "die kunst ist" to find out where the bottleneck lies and then eliminate it to have proper oc headroom :)

Seeing as I had 32GB of that in my system and it worked perfectly, the answer is yes

Allright thank you D2 :) Btw what differences does the timing make? is the one I wrote you had in your system?
Most of these are out of stock, not even sold on ebay, you know where I can get these sticks from?

The one you're looking at is exactly what I had. You can buy them in single-stick sets from Newegg, here you go: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...e=DDR3L_SODIMM_G.Skill-_-20-231-759-_-Product

The timings are great, they lower CPU usage in many games. If you're CPU limited in some titles then it'll 100% help you out.
