    Hey,

I can get a new monitor for fathers day, awesome. The boss gave me a budget to stay around $250. With that in mind I have narrowed it down to either of the two following monitors which are available locally:

    Samsung 220WM @ Costco for $289.99
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001261

    OR

    LG W2252TQ-TF @ Best Buy for $259.99
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8739092&type=product&id=1201913867402

Which would you choose & why? My old monitor is 5 years old, so this will be a purchase that lasts a while so I want to make a good decision.

    Thanks for the help!

Those links are truncated and don't work. You have to re-post the full link.

I speak from experience, when I say Samsung screens are absolutely beautiful
So if the Samsung you've picked there, has the same specs (or better) as the LG, I'd go for the Samsung ;)

    Links fixed.

The Samsung specs are slightly better than the LG, specifically it supports HDCP.

The LG's screen looked brighter and the colors were more vibrant in the store, but the LG screen has a gloss finish which worries me because we have a lot of windows in our house and the glare might really suck.

With the glare issue in mind and the better specs of the Samsung I am really leaning towards going with the Samsung. Plus the Samsung is at Costco, which is a store I would much rather make a purchase from instead of Best Buy.
