    2GB Ram with CAS 4 Latency 4?

    Maybe they are doing the same as one of the big US sites and quoting the CAS for 533MHz. Perhaps you should ask the supplier for the full specs and part number so that you can double-check.

    Otherwise, this RAM is reasonably priced and works fine (I've now got 2). You could get hit for 17.5% VAT on the import from the US.

    You mentioned these stick in a previous post and said they work fine, but if price didn't matter would there be any benefit getting a branded memory like crucial?

    In my experience all the notebook RAM with the same specs works the same so, for me, it comes down to price. It's possible that some brands have more headroom than others for overclocking, but most notebooks don't overclock.

    One reason I'm happy to buy Transcend although it is not a major name is that I bought a 1GB Transcend stick a couple of years back (again, because of price) and that gave me no problems.
