I just got an E1505 with 2x512. I don't plan on doing anything too intense, maybe light multitasking (firefox, aim, windows media, and a couple pictures open in photoshop) and pretty light gaming (cs:s, maybe gunz and/or warrock). I have the x1400 for graphics. Would there be a noticeable difference if I upgraded to 1.5 or 2 gigs of ram? If not, what would be a good reason to upgrade?

You would notice a difference, but to upgrade would cost you a few, and with what you said you will be doing I wouldn't sweat it.

going with the 2gb means you get dual channel and the extra .5 gb. the 1.5 will save you cash, but you wont get the dual channel and extra .5gb.

Performance gains drop off greatly after 1GB. This will of course change, but not too soon. I say put it off 6 months, and then max it out. Right now, you probably won't notice a ton of difference.

You are not doing anything overly demanding, I doubt you would see a difference in performance. Stay with 1GB for now.
