I'm ready to upgrade my wife's hard drive on her 3000n200. It has an 80 gig, first I'm curious what brand it came with. Second I'm debating which one I should get. I'm looking at a western digital 250 gig black and a 320 gig blue. How much faster will the 7200 RPM black feel than the blue. And how much better will the battery life be with the 5400 RPM blue. She doesn't run any really demanding applications. And her battery life isn't all that great.. Also how do the fujitsu and Samsung hard drives compare to the western digital Scorpio.

    Thanks

If you have an 80GB drive, make sure your laptop supports more first...
There could be a BIOS limitation what have not.
    (Artificial limit)

I think NBR benchmarked both drives and found them to be reasonably similar...

Not sure if Samsung actually makes their HDDs...
    Fujitsu - not sure either.

To find out what drive you have at the moment - get CrystalDiskInfo and then google the serial/product number.
