I have purchased ASUS G51JX-A2 model a few months ago and I am planning to upgrade the DVD player to Blu Ray player soon. Will the computer be able to play a 3D Blu Ray movie using an external monitor that is 3D ready.
Basically, I am planning to buy a 3d ready TV and use my laptop as the blue Ray player connected to the TV via the HDMI cable. So first, is my laptop powerful enough to handle HD 3D picture? There is 3D ready model of ASUS G51JX-3D but it has a low resolution screen. And second, does HDMI support 3D picture.
Thanks for the help.

Yes it will be able to play 3D Blu-Ray movies using an external monitor that is 3D ready.
First of all the G51JX has a nVidia GTS 360M GPU. Which is a compatible 3D Vision GPU. And yes this laptop will be able to handle HD 3D playback.
Please note: ** Blu-ray 3D playback requires a compatible Blu-ray 3D software application such as Cyberlink Power DVD 10.
