    ive wanted to upgrade my ram on my vostro 1400
    and did some research

    plus the backtoschool paypal20 promo code <----- who ever is reading this post...this code will expire in 4 hours

    so its 109.99 + 7.42(tax) + 4.99(shipping) - 20(paypal) - 15 (rebate) = 87.4
    a good deal? or is there a cheaper deal i can find

    also..is it worth the money to upgrade to 3gb

    Definately a steal for 1x2gb of ram, and yes it's worth the money.

    im still a bit hesitant kus i dont think i have used to full 2gb ram yet. so i dont know if its worth the 87 dollars to enhance gamming or multitasking?

    If you plan on gaming then this is a must. Also if you're using vista, or plan on it, it's highly recommended. Extra ram will also boost your multitasking ability by a lot, it lets you have more applications open running at full speed. But if you are only a basic computer user then I suppose you wouldn't need this upgrade.

    That is pretty much as good as it gets for a 2GB stick of ram right now. I've been looking around for a while for deals, as I'm also getting a 2GB stick as soon as my laptop arrives, but I'm in Canada so it's a bit more difficult. Although as soon as I see anything under $100 I'm taking it.
