Does anybody found a way to make the GPU run at 533Mhz?

    Overclock your toaster...

In all seriousness, what are you using to read this stat, and what chipset do you have? In the GM45 it should run at 533MHz by default (it'll supposedly be slower in a GS45 or GL40). I don't know the specifics of the implementation, but Intel might also downclock the GPU in order to save power when it's not being stressed. Does the clock speed pick up if you load a graphically intensive application?

Overclocking a GPU is a pointless effort; not only are IGPs limited in terms of gaming capability, but overclocking will 1) undermine the design purpose of an IGP (low power consumption, that is), and 2) will yield a puny performance improvement; your GPU will be upgraded from "utterly terrible" to "less utterly terrible".

ROFL :D so true... a 58MHz difference in speed won't do squat.

well i'm using the gpuz. it says that my gpu frequency is 475mhz...
i dont know if when i play some game the speed change to 533mhz.
where can i download a software that shows any graphic?

Let me ask you, what games are you hoping to play? The 4500MHD is fairly limited, but it can play old games like World of Warcraft or Half-Life 2. On the other hand, don't expect it to run Far Cry 2, Crysis, World in Conflict, or any remotely demanding games... even if you overclock.

the point is: according to intel the gma45 runs at 533mhz. But i read that there are no drivers that do it. all the ones underclock the gpu. don't know why... or do you think that intel isnt playing fair? :/

i dont like playing games a lot...
    but i like some games...
and when i bought this note, i had already known that its not for game.
but since my last note had a x3100, and i could be able to play half-life2, i though that change to 4500mhd would be nicer.
my last note had a mother board problem so i though that woulb be better to buy a new one instead fix it.
but i'm very happy with this card. i can play hf2 in full resolution and all details at max. pretty cool

If you're not playing games, then why overclock it at all (even if you do, it wouldn't help much, if at all).

Wrt downclocking; most GPUs downclock when they are not doing anything intensive in order to save power. It is a design measure that is done on purpose in order to reduce power consumption and heat output. Again, that is the entire goal of an average IGP.

None of these applications truly measure the frequency(well some might but GPU-Z doesn't). They assume based on pre-released specifications. According to earlier reports of GPU-Z the ROP count of the X3000 was 4 and X4500 was 8.

The desktop X4500 runs at 800MHz for G45 but in earlier reviews they reported it as 475MHz.
