I was wondering..for gaming..is it worth it to customize the lappy for a HDD with 7,200rpm instead of 5,400rpm?
Is it really worth it?
How come? What am I paying for more of??

Programs will load faster, but they won't necessarily run faster.
-
As far as I know...gaming wise it will only help in level loading, and that's pretty much all the benefit you will see.
Nonetheless I do like the lil' spice up in speed...so I would go to the 7200rpm -
It depends on what hard drives you're talking about. Some 5400 rpm drives are faster than some 7200rpm drives.
Check sites like Laptopmag.com, Techreport.com or storagereview.com for reviews. -
The most different between those hardrives only recognizable when you move or work with huge file size, IMO

But you won't get extra FPS in games.
5,400rpm or 7,200rpm??
