Hi, has anyone out of Europe managed to get their grubby paws on the samsung or hitachi 500gb 2.5" hard drives? I can't seem to find them anywhere beside some french online hardware store....
-
Zipzoomfly has them in stock, and I think they ship overseas, I am not sure if they ship to Asia, but you would have to look that up on their site.

They seem to be out of stock tho.. =/ -
Wow 299 is still steap. 320gb sells for 139. You could buy two of those and it would still be cheaper!

but could you put them both in your laptop....
-
They're relatively new, what do you expect...

PC Connection currently has the Hitachi version on order priced at $283USD http://www.pcconnection.com/IPA/Shop/Product/Detail.htm?sku=8489752
I got my Seagate 7200.2 from them last year, because they seem to get newer drives much faster than NewEgg....... -
Some laptops have 2 hard drive capability. Or you can always do internal plus one eSATA external.
-
I realize this, however, those are mostly (if not all) 17in + laptops. And some people dont like external harddrives. So then what they could do is have 1TB in their laptop rather than 640GB.

Only a couple of months ago they were selling for 220 each.

Yup - amazing how technology prices fall so quickly....I guess its just entices end-users to keep purchasing new stuff.
