    anybody have 500 gigs or bigger in their laptop and notice considerable power consumption or heat?

    A 512GB SSD would cost more than most laptops.

    yeah i know, but looking at it, it looks like a considerable jump up in power usage. i don't think most look at that aspect of it. if i had the cash to blow i would buy one. you can get an m4 for about $850-$1000 now btw.

    Not too shabby, but I don't believe it only consumes 0.16W when active.
