Just got some compatible 2 x 512mb pc2100 for my rig, free!! Will this be faster than my current 2 x 256mb of pc3200. I have a dedicated Graphics so speed concerns of shared memory are nil.

    Any Expierences or advice.

This is a temp until I get a new system, so don't tell me to upgrade to 1 gig of pc3200, I know that would be best, but would delay the time till my new system

No, pc2100 ram will be slower than pc3200 (assuming they are paired together, each stick with same speed in the pair). At least you will have more ram though - 2x512 = 1 GB vs. 2x256 = 512MB.

More RAM is always better. You should see a nice performance boost going from 512MB --> 1024MB.
