    5400 vs. 5300

    I have a dell D620 with 1 GB of PC5300 ram. I am going to buy one more dimm, is there any advantages/disadvantages to going with PC 5400 over the PC 5300. Would i the ram still drun in dual channel?

    DDR2 memory module ratings are calculated by multiplying the clock by eight.

    667 * 8 = 5336. Some companies round up, others down. There is no difference between the two.

    Transcend is more . . generic, although very compatible. I would go with OCZ memory because it has excellent quality. I have two sticks of it in my notebook.
