I am planning on purchasing a Dell XPS 1330 and I am wondering about the battery options. Does anyone know how much heavier the 9 cell is than the 6 cell and how much longer the 9 cell lasts as opposed to the 6 cell? Is it worth the extra $30?

For $30 I would take it.

Weight is probably the biggest issue, is a 9-cell significantly heavier?

For me, weight wasn't the problem. I really didn't like the way it sticks out from the back (it also raises the notebook).

The 6 cell is 56WHr, the 9 cell is 85WHr. The 9 cell 50% more capacity (50% more cells) than 6 cell. On DeLL site user said 9 cell gets 4.5 hrs 6 cell should get 3 hrs.
