For the Asus EEE 1005HA how long will the 6 cell batterY last on normal conditions like
WITH WIFI 100% brightness
or
NO WIFI/ 80-70% brightness
The ads say 9.5 hours of battery life but is that with the 3 cell or 6 cell battery? BTW if anyone else has anything else about asus eee batteries plz say it now.

I have tested and reviewed 2 netbooks (Samsung and Asus) and have yet seen the battery going over 5hrs. This was running multi-processes.
Ads can be deceiving.

I can get at the most 7.5Hours out of the 6 cell battery in my old acer aspire one netbook. The netbook isn't very efficient. 9.5 hours on that eeepc is definitely possible.
If you turn the brightness of the screen to 100%, you might loose an hour or two on the battery life. -
hmm... expect to lose sum...
they probably test it with 40% brightness and no wifi...
just old word processing or something...
you can buy the huge 13,000 mah 12 cell battery for 80 dollars and get (if 6 cell = 9.5 hours) 19 hours of battery life!!! i dont even believe it...
more like 15 hours of internet producivity from reviews
if you need any help just send me a private message -
once its past 5 hours im good.

The 6 cell on Asus 1005HA can come in different capacities: 48 Wh (4400 mAh) or 63 Wh.
Anandtech has tested the larger capacity here:

8 hours browsing the internet at 100cd/m brightness. -
According to NBR the batt. in my 1000HE is a 7.2v 8700mAh 63W batt. which is also claimed to be a 9.5 hr batt. During my experience (I always keep BT off) doing various tasks, travelling, watching movies, regular browsing etc. I'd say I always get on avg. 6 - 7 hrs out of it. Now mind you, i'm running 7 and using an SSD.
See how Asus comes about with their numbers.
