    Hi,

I currently have a 6-cell battery for my Dell Inspiron 6400 and planning to upgrade to a 9-cell battery. Currently the 6-cell battery runs for 2 hours and 10 min. How much total time will the 9-cell battery run for? I mostly use web browsing and word processing.

    thanx

Have almost the exact same configuration as you.

I usually surf the web over my wireless connection, listen to music on the internal speakers, and use Word and OneNote.

At full charge, my power meter will usually show about 4:45 remaining. In real world use, I actually get closer to 4:00 of continuous use.

I'd like it to be longer, but I really haven't run into any situations where the battery life has limited me in any way. I don't think that I could ever live with a 6-cell now that I've had the 9-cell.

On a good day I can get around 5hrs 20min.
Most other days its closer to the 4hrs and 45min that was mentioned earlier.

I have the 9 cell with my e1505 and get over 4 hours doing word processing and using the internet. I very rarely let it get very low as I generally only use it no more than 2:30 hours a day on battery.
