This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     640GB Samsung Spinpoint M8 coming?

    According to that, Samsung is getting ready to launch a 640GB 2.5" external hard disk drive (and a 2TB 3.5" drive, but that isn't relevant here.) This means Samsung also has 320GB platters (unless the drive is 3-platter) and should signal the incoming release of a Spinpoint M8 series. I wonder how these will compare to the Toshiba and Seagates...
