I bought my PC with a 512MB RAM 533Mhz installed
I replaced it with 2GB 667Mhz Rams (since my processor is T7200)

Now i found that my PC is only 533Mhz capable, will the new 2GB ram installed run ok?

Yes, though it will run at 533 instead.

As mentioned it will run a reduce speed, but it will work fine.

Where did you see that it was only capable of 533MHz? I can pretty much guarantee that the RAM is running at 667MHz if that is what you installed. The FSB of the T7200 is 667MHz and the 945 series chipset supports DDR2-667.

You can download CPU-Z to get a clear reading:

Go to the memory tab and see what the clocks are. They should be 333MHz (x2 to equal the DDR speed, so ~667MHz).

Even if the memory is running at 533MHz, the overall performance difference in reality will be very small because the clock latency at the lower frequency will be smaller.

For example, I have a stick of Corsair RAM for which the timings are 5-5-5-15-20 at 333/667MHz and 4-4-4-12-16 at 266/533MHz. Those numbers are clock cycles to carry out the various memory access functions. The actual physical durations for these functions are the same.

My Sony SZ has a CoreDuo with 667mhz fsb but only takes 533mhz ram. He probably has a newer SZ.
