    Hi there,

I have a quick question: is there a way to purchase 7 to 9,5 mm mounting spacers somewhere?
I've just bought a 7 mm SSD, without realizing that my laptop's bay is 9,5 mm thick.

    Thanks in advance,
    Best,
    Marco

    Do you really need it?
The drive is held with screws from the sides or from the bottom, thickness should not be a problem, normally.

What laptop model do you have?

It's an ASUS G73JH and the SSD is a Samsung 830.
Do you think I can run into troubles?

The Samsung 830 notebook kit comes with a spacer included. (Opposite the desktop kit which comes with SATA cable and such.) I was able to install it without the spacer anyways.

No troubles at all, especially since SSDs don't have moving parts.
Just install it as you would do with your HDD and you'll be fine.
