    Yes, it looks like it will work for the Radeon X1600, but I can't say for sure about the NVIDIA card. I am fairly sure that if they both use a 7-Pin S-Video out, it will work for both.

    What you're saying is that the cable should work for every X1600 card with 7-pin TV-out? Do you have a HP yourself? Do HP practice 100% compliant with the specs? Where can I find this custom cable you're talking about?

    Because the URL I'm refering to says that it works with:
    * RADEON X800 Series
    * RADEON X700 Series

    But maybe it's not updated for the new Radeon series cards.
