Hello forumers, I really need some advise here.

Below are the adapter input range (HP Elitebook 8730W).
    Input: 100-240V - 2.7A, 50-60Hz
    Output: 19V - 7.9A, 150W

Can I use it with a 13Amp 3-pin plug? Will the adapter/notebook overheat or burn out?

13A 3-pin plug? You mean will it work on the British mains system?

    Yes. :) We use ~230v 50hz.

The original HP plug is 7amp 125V (US Version) which I can't use in my country because here we're using the same as British 3pin plug. The 3pin is a 13amp. My concern here, can I use the 13amp with the adapter without any problem to the notebook?

Assuming those are the markings on the AC adapter, then yes. It'll auto-sense the input voltage and should work world-wide. :)

13amp is the maximum that can be drawn out of the elecric line. This doesn't means that all 13amp will reach your laptop.

It is safe to use you laptop with your country's specific 3 pin's plug.

Will the adapter to overheat to handle the 13amp?

No. The socket can supply up to 13A. The adapter won't be drawing anything like that much... :)

It'll likely run at the same temperature as when operating at 115v. It'll just be drawing around half the current that it would at 115v.
