    Can someone tell me if the difference between 7200 rpm and 5400 rpm HDDs is noticeable.

    RPM is solely responsible for the HDD seek time right?

    RPM is solely responsible for the HDD seek time=no

    Whether it shows in the real world can depend on the apps you use, should speed up boot always.
