    Is there any noticable difference performance-wise between the two drives?

    probably not. they're both blazing fast. HDTune says 250gb is a bit faster. Get the size you need since there isn't really a difference between them

    I wasnt really worried about the size, just thinking about access times and whatnot.

    if you don't want SSD as nirvana suggested and size doesn't bother you, go with 250gb

    If you're worried about access/seek times, get the 160GB version.

    wait 'til the Intel X-25 hits the market... (128GB SSD.... SUPERFAST!!!) (the "slow" version... 75MB/s write, 250MB/s read. "fast" version to be released at a later date...)
