Hey, I currrently have a dell inspiron with a 7900GS graphics card. And it does alright. I play Team Fortress 2 almost maxxed. But I've recently found that they made a 7950GTX card for these models too, and they aren't too dificult to put it.

My quesetion is... Is the upgrade worth it? Is the 7950 alot better? How is it compared to newer laptops with 8600M GTs?

Just wondering where I stand. I sold my desktop for this laptop and I love the mobility, but I'm getting graphics hungry. Just wondering what my options might be. ;) Thanks.

^What does that have to do with anything? (Edit, I was talking to the spam guy)

Anyway, how much is the 7950GTX?

Its around 150 - 200 dollars. Kind of expensive I know, but its a cheaper upgrade then a whole new laptop or a new desktop. Just for the sake of playing a few games.

Well, it would offer slightly better performance. Up to you if it's worth the $200.

If you are truly graphics hungry, get the 7950 GTX, and OC the hell out of that card.

Its only a slight difference? Its worth it to me if it means my card will hold up another year before having to buy a new laptop.

If you ever do anything... do NOT trust that site. All of its benchmarks are way off. Anyone here will tell you that site is not accurate. Just google 7900GS vs. 7950GTX.
