Which notebook(s)? The 802.11b/g card could be anything, but I'm betting Broadcom anyway.

Between both, I've gotten better signal strength from the Broadcom cards, even though they are not favored by many.

Usually the Intel cards have the best range and best connectivity. I have a 3945 abg card and it is wonderful, it is much more powerful than the ones I have used in other laptops. The 4965bgn is also a good card, and I think it has even a better range than the 3945.

They both offer Broadcom cards. For battery life, the 3945ABG wins (but you are comparing two unrelated models).

As I said, most will say the 3945ABG. In my case, it was the opposite against every b/g Broadcom I've owned (6).
