I need to purchase a new laptop and have it by January 7th which doesnt give me much time to wait for any company to release a 15inch laptop with an 8800M GTX in it.
I was thinking about purchasing an Asus Lamborghini which comes with an 8600M and then upgrading it to the 8800M GTX.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Would I be able to buy just the GPU or would I need the entire card?
Not sure if the housing/pin size is the same on both cards.

    Thanks!

    May not be possible.

I'm pretty sure the 8800 will be MXM-IV

Not sure what the Lamborghini laptop can support though.

Most likely not. The Lamborghini VX2 does not use a standard MXM card, infact it's some reverse MXM design and will likely require a vBIOS for it to work. I don't think ASUS will bring you that update, especially for their premium product.
