Do you know a place where I can buy a 8800 GTX for laptop... Will there be any drop of prices soon ? When should that be excepted?

Are you building your own laptop? I ask this because 99% of the time you can't replace a laptop's GPU. Here's a link to the thread about it: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=86864
In any case, the prices are not likely to drop any time soon since it just came out. You'll probably have to wait until the next Nvidia laptop GPU is released. I don't know of any place that sells laptop GPUs. Maybe someone will know. Though I can easily see a situation where nowhere sells them because laptop GPUs are basically impossible to replace.

Yep, the vast majority of the time the GPUs are soldered onto the mainboard. Depending on the size of your laptop, you might not even have the proper cooling system to support such a high-end card, so such an upgrade would be pointless.

The sager NP 5792 (from XOTIC) has a videocard user upgradable. Xotic sells the 8800 GTX for 465$ (1 card with laptop) and if I decide to buy the card later on as an upgrade the price is 750$ for the same card... Thats why I was looking for a placae with cheaper prices!
