Are there any for a decent price?

I'd like to install one in an Envy 14 once it's released. :D

    I've seen only tray-loading blu-ray drives in 9.5mm format.
And no, they do not come at a decent price. At a very big premium in fact.

Panasonic SATA Tray BD-RE 9.5mm UJ-232A for $300+ USD, unless you only care for a BD-ROM, which can be found for ~$100 USD.

Sounds great I don't mind paying up to $300 but I need slot-load, not tray. Any ideas? I googled but didn't find anything.

    Never mind

Exactly as stated, there are no current 9.5mm slot load BD drives.

It's a competitor's product, but what's the size of the Blu-Ray drive in the M6500? It seems pretty slim, considering that the Expresscard/PC Card and SD card slots are mounted right above it. Of course, the ability to mount said drive in an Envy is a completely separate matter. :p

Oops, I just replied to the wrong thread. Check out Panasonic UJ-235. Slim. Slot. SATA.

Note: As pointed out by the mod in another thread, I was wrong. The UJ-235 is 12.7mm. Not 9.5mm.
