i just got my 9300 days ago and i figured the 60gb isnt enough for me
so i was just wondering if its possible to put in another hard drive.
or perhaps i can just buy a bigger one
but the problem is.. is it possible to do that?
i want to do it the first one though so please help me!

You can replace the harddrive, but to my knowledge you can't add an additional internal one. Another option is to buy a bigger internal drive, put it in the 9300. Then get an external case (cost about 25 bucks for a case) and fit it around the 60gb so you can have an external drive. Or you could just buy an internal hdd and put an external case around that, and use it for an external hdd.

The largest right now is 100gb at 5400rpm.

Also, instead of using all the laptop hard drive space for storage(Assuming...), you should buy an external 3.5" Hard Drive and then a 3.5" HD enclosure and put them together and use it. It's cheap and effective.

However, if you must get a larger laptop hard drive, it's really easy to upgrade it, all you need is a screwdriver and 'no butterfingers' ;)

Dell provides a very informative directions, I'm not sure where though, is it in the manual?

edit: Hmmm, I do type slow :p Go SG! :D

like coriolis said, its easy to do. Make sure to get the XP CD either from Dell or use the recovery utility (sticky about all of that in the Dell Forum) so you will be able to install windows.

[edit] I really should read my sentences before posting

Might want to consider a laptop drive in an external case. It will be more portable than a desktop drive.
