Hello, I bought a HP HDX16 1060 and Im very happy with it.
A day later I installed GTA4 and anything goes fine, no errors
and fatal D3D or RSC errors.

After playing GTA4 for 1 hours the GPU is getting so hot.
I feel the air is hot.
Is that normal or its risks?

The settings of the game GTA4 are:

    Resolution 1024x768
    Texture Medium
    Render Quality Highest
    View distance 1
    Detail distance 50
    Vehicle 50
    Shadow density 0

    The GPU usage is 88%

    My notebook specs are:

    P8400 2.26GHz 3MB L2 1066FSB
    nVidia GeForce 9600M GT 512 DDR2 up to 2302MB
Windows Vista Home Premium 64bits system
    320GB HDD
    4GB RAM

Such a thread would be at home in the Hardware & Aftermarket Upgrades subforum.

In order to determine whether your GPU is overheating or not, you need to find the exact temps for your 9600GT.

    http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php

Please run this program and post the results after you max out the temp. on the GPU.

Also, in addition to what Bog said, make sure it isn't on top of anything thats fabric, and that air can get to the bottom of the computer. That helps a lot.

try keeping your vents clear to get a good air flow
