I tried to upgrade the hard drive on an Elonex Webbook from 80GB to 160GB but I can't get this netbook to detect the 160GB HDD. The BIOS doesn't see it. This netbook uses a SATA interface.

The 160GB hard drive is good as I removed it from a working laptop. I tested with a 120GB hard drive and this one was detected by the BIOS.

Do you think that the BIOS in this netbook is limited to hard drives less then 137GB? I'm wondering if the LBA is set to 28 instead of 48.
