I was wondering about the xps 1530. I know it's a great deal for my gaming and school work and traveling. I'm also worrying about vista. Vista is very taxing operating system, but with 3 gigs I think I should be fine. (I can always upgrade.) Should I dual boot both xp and vista? if so how can i do that?

Will this laptop have a high failure rate because it's a refurb?
And also, does anyone know if the graphics card is with the ram or dedicated?

    Thanks m8's.

Sorry for these last buying questions. I just want to make sure that the dell outlet store can be reliable because it is a very important purchase. Thanks.

I'm still considering ASUS G1- when they are restocked, do you have any other suggestions?

I don't think you should expect a higher failure rate as DeLL still has an interest in putting out a good product. It could be a return for many reasons if any performance or reliability I would assume addressed. On to the GPU if the 8600m GT then 256MB dedicated does it use more from system if needed? I think it might but that is not an issue either way. If the price is good you should go ahead I would think DeLL will sell you warranty if you so desire. 3GB's should be fine if 32bit OS can only see about 3GB's anyway. Dual boot? Up to you, I say only if you want to no reason to start with that mindset.

I bought a refurbed M1710 last year ...Let me say when it got here I would have sworn it was brand new..It was still covered with all the plastic protection on the lid and screen. I was more then satisfied.
