I am currently looking for a new gaming laptop and am wanting some opinions on some component options. I am considering the G75 or the NP9170. My questions are thus:

Is it worth it to upgrade the stock wireless card?
Would I be better served saving $50 and downgrading from 8gb 1600 ram to 1333 and invest it into a matte screen or get 12gb 1333.

My current build comes in at around 1650 or 1740 with matte and 8/1333.

As an aside, what are people's take on the cooling/noise of the sagers? I have a 2008 asus that sounds like an Indy car when the video card engages!

    I appreciate the input.

Downgrade the RAM to 8gb 1333mhz. No real world difference between 1333,1600,1866 and 8gb of RAM is enough for 90% of users.

Make sure you get the 7970M.

As far as the wireless card is concerned, reference this thread for some information: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/624253-sager-wireless-card-any-good.html

if he has a xfire setup thats probable, if not he is doing something wrong.

I would still go for the 7970m, in my last 4670m I only had one driver problem, that was actually good for me, playing empire the troops have some highlights like fire range and to mark each unit, they disappeared, loved it.
