Would you rather haev a 5400 rpm hard drive and 633mhz ram, or 7200 and 533 mhz ram? ( i think those numbers are right)
Also, for bang of buck, would you go for the duo 1.6, 1.8, or 2.0 or 2.1?

The hard drive is going to give more noticable performance boost than the RAM. The difference between 533MHz and 667MHz is minimal. But program loading times are affected positvely by the faster hard drive.
Bang for buck, I would go with the 1.83GHz T2400. The T2300 shouldnt be bad either. -
+1 to miner's comments above.
The improved bandwidth of 667MHz RAM is neatly negated by the higher latency on currently available modules. Down the track sticks with tighter timings should be available and they'll invariably cost less too. Buying today, the faster HDD will give better performance.
The 1.83GHz T2400 was always recommended as the sweet spot, but with Intel's recent rebates on Core Duo CPUs you may find it's moved to the 2.01 GHz T2500... as long as your notebook manufacturer of choice passes on the saving. To be honest though, anything from the T2300 up is going to fly so I wouldn't obsess over it. -
yea, i would go with the faster hard drive. the hard drive is the slowest part of your computer, and bottlenecks your performance. so, if u better the hard drive, in theory, you should improve your computer
A few questions about Better Performance?
