Are the hard drives on the Dell D620/D630 and the Vostro 1400 easily changable? Reason I am asking is I want the 7200 RPM hard drive, but depending on configuration sometimes its cheaper(get 5400 RPM), and to not upgrade it to 7200 RPM through Dell when a hard drive through ebay seems to be way cheaper. Just as memory is usually a lot cheaper to do too.
    Thanks.

And easier than some. Dell's notebooks are designed so that the purchaser's choice of HDD can be easily slotted in on the final assembly line. Get the relevant Dell service manual if you want to see how to change the HDD.

Thanks guys. For some reason I was worried it might be like the video cards where they are not usually addable in the future.
