Now here's a good site for testing out if your SSD is degraded.
http://www.spec.org/cpu2006/results/
Click on one of the 4 result pages:
Single Thread: SPECint2006, SPECfp2006
Multi-Thread: SPECint_rate2006 SPECfp_rate2006
Spec is an industry standard benchmark for workstation and server CPUs.
Just check out the CPUs you are using, or anything in that range. Use the find tool in the browser and search the CPU you want to see. Because there are such vast amount of results to load per page, its a rather intensive.
Does not matter what browser or OS you use. If the SSD has been degraded, it will freeze up your browser.
TIP: I don't know this applies to all drives, but it might show freezing more often on the most frequently used browser(IE/FF/Chrome/Opera, whatever you use frequently).

So I get a bunch of numbers... but what does it tell me?
(from search)
I don't understand the site at all...
Except that you can buy some stuff... -
If its degraded, you'll notice significant freeze ups and slowdowns that you rarely see otherwise. If you don't, it probably means its ok.
-
Opening the page? -
silly assed test. Numbers without proper analysis including the context of the system/hardware on which they are run are wholly useless.
-
I thought it would be a nice and simple check to be sure your SSD is in "degraded" mode.
No really, I'd like to see someone with OCZ Core JMicron drive load it.
-
Well, my Scrolling once it has loaded fully is perfectly smooth in FF 3.5.5 - but browsers work from the RAM, no?
